Zepto Life Technology is proud to announce the publication of its latest study in Open Forum Infectious Diseases, highlighting a novel culture-bypass approach for the diagnosis of invasive fungal infections (IFIs). This work addresses a longstanding challenge in infectious disease diagnostics—timely and accurate detection of IFIs. Medical practitioners find it difficult to diagnose fungal infections using conventional culture-based methods that are associated with delayed treatment and poor clinical outcomes.
The study introduces a rapid molecular diagnostic platform that detects fungal cell-free DNA (cfDNA), offering a more sensitive and timely alternative to traditional diagnostic workflows. By eliminating the need for pathogen culturing, the platform significantly reduces time to diagnosis, improving patient outcomes.
This advancement reflects Zepto’s commitment to innovation in molecular diagnostics and to addressing the unmet needs in infectious disease management. The research was made possible through close collaboration with leading clinical investigators and a dedicated multidisciplinary team. We extend our deepest gratitude to our collaborators and scientific team for their ongoing efforts to advance diagnostic science and improve care for patients facing life-threatening fungal infections.
